HOW FAR BEFORE OUR WEDDING SHOULD WE START LESSONS?
Starting several months before your wedding gives you more time to learn comfortably and enjoy the process. However, even if your wedding is only a few weeks away, we can help you create something appropriate for the time available. More elaborate choreography requires more preparation.
DO WE NEED ANY DANCE EXPERIENCE?
Not at all. Most wedding couples begin with little or no dance experience. Your instructor will start at your comfort level and guide you through each movement one approachable step at a time.
HOW MANY WEDDING DANCE LESSONS WILL WE NEED?
It depends on your goals, timeline, and the kind of first dance you envision. A few lessons may be enough to feel comfortable with something simple. Around 10 lessons is popular for a more polished dance with an entrance, ending, and dip. Fully choreographed showpieces may require 20 or more lessons.
DO WE NEED TO CHOOSE OUR SONG BEFORE WE BEGIN?
No. You are welcome to begin lessons before choosing your song. If you already have one, bring it with you. If you are still deciding, your instructor can help you consider which songs and dance approaches may fit the moment you want to create.
